Psalm 46:10

Be Still and Know that I am God
… Over the past week, God continually has given me the verse above. I know that He is very strongly telling me to slow down and spend time with Him. So, I have begun this process of slowing down and spending time with Him.
It always amazes me how quickly the devil gets to work trying to keep this from happening. He uses people you would never dream of to keep this from happening. He uses situations to touch your spots that are vulnerable. He is just the devil with a distinct purpose of interrupting our alone time with God. I've vowed that he will just have to get behind me, because this was one of those messages that without a doubt God was sending it.
Do you know how I know? Well, first off it was the Spirit through writing the blog on Sunday, then it was through bible study and then it was through a radio station. Very obvious use of Psalm 46:10 each time with me through 3 different areas of my life. What about you? How do you know? Do you pay attention? Do you mark it off as a coincidence? DON'T! I believe with all my heart that they are God Winks, God Moments, Divine Appointments and we miss them way too often. We don't give God credit and we miss out on HIM because we chalk it up to something simple and not something huge…Think about it. God used three different areas of my life to use the same scripture and get my attention. It would be easy enough to ignore all three, but instead I see God's Mighty Hand at work in my life. I know something very important HE SEES ME, HE LOVES ME, and HE IS AT WORK IN MY LIFE.
Today, look for God in your life. Think about something you might think is a coincidence and consider the possibility that it is something way more important! If you do share one of these moments, don't keep it to yourself - SHARE IT! Pass along the cool things that God is doing in your journey right now with others. People need HOPE and God is HOPE!

Believe it, Debbie

You are extraordinary!

Do you think of yourself as extraordinary? I don't have that in mind when I think about myself. Let's see most of the time things like you didn't do your best or you could have done better, I really need to lose weight...you know the thoughts don't you? We don't quite measure up in our own minds?
A couple of days ago I went to see John Bevere at Word of Life church. God spoke through that man to every person in that congregation and reminded us that it is Him and that He is powerful and why aren't we using His POWER that He gives each of us to reach out for the KINGDOM! We are enabled by Him to do amazing things…remember Stephen the guy that worked in the local coffee shop read Acts 6…Stephen was a man full of God's grace and power doing great wonders and signs among the people…Read about Stephen and be reminded that God gives each of us HIS POWER to do great things!
I am reminded of the scripture from Psalms that tells us in Psalm 18:19 " He brought me out into a spacious place, he rescued me because he delighted in me." God delights in you and me! He thinks we are extraordinary! Don't you just love God's word?
Start your week remembering God delights in you and step out of your comfort zone and do great things for The Kingdom today, tomorrow and always!!!!

Psalm 84:5 (New International Version)

"Blessed are those whose strength is in you,…" I am blessed! I was reminded yesterday by my nephew that I'm blessed. Kyle was with me in my car and the topic became my house fire. He looked at me and began to tell me DeDe you think God blessed you with that fire, don't you? I paused a moment and said I do Kyle. I didn't when the fire first happened, but I do now. He looked at me and said "I Do DeDe"… I asked him to share his reasons of why I was blessed. He began - well you and Uncle Kenny were okay, the dogs are okay and you got a lot better house now… I love it that Kyle knows that DeDe loves Jesus and that He blesses me and that we talk about this together! Most of all, I loved the fact that Kyle knew that I felt God blessed me with the fire…
He is right, but I believe the reasons I am blessed is all the ways that I saw the LORD during this experience. I saw Him in the letter in my driveway that was saved…I saw Him in the friends that brought me smiles and hugs along with lunch…I saw Him in the people that called to let me know they were thinking about me…I saw Him in the pieces of the Bible that I would find in the flowerbeds…I found Him in the builder with the special touches that he made sure happened in my home…I found Him in Janet with her special desire to be sure that my house reflected Him…I found Him in the butterflies that were continually surrounding me during this time… I found Him in all of you reading this email right now you helped me to remember His mighty strength when I needed to be reminded and I love you all for the reminders of just how mighty He IS!
Indeed I was and am blessed by the Fire! The Fire of the LORD is indeed awesome and Kyle was right…I was blessed by the fire….and I am blessed by the fire!

Sweet blessings, Debbie
